Setting Yourself Up For A Positive Week

Setting yourself up for a positive week.. Monday's can can be a drag, the weekends over and the new week has begun. But Monday is the most important day of the week, it sets up the playing field for what can be a great, successful, positive next seven days.

We often hear about those dreadful 'Monday Blues' - we all get them, but that mindset can create a ripple effect of negativity that lasts until Friday when you realise 'tomorrow is the weekend - again.' 

This is why we believe setting your week up for success isn't just achievable but it's also SO rewarding when you tick those beautiful things off your list of accomplishments. 

If you set your week up and walk in with a positive mindset, it will set you up for a great week.

With that, we've put together 7 of our top ways to set yourself up for a positive week. 

Get a good night's sleep
This begins the night before, on Sunday try and get to bed at a reasonable time.. waking up refreshed after the weekend will give you a good start to a positive Monday and positive week ahead. 

Listen to a podcast or morning motivation
This is a new on for me, but when I get up in the morning after my morning gratitudes, and planning I'll put on a 'morning motivation' on Youtube or Spotify and it always puts me in the best mindset to tackle the day, tackle my goals with enthusiasm and confidence. 

Move your body
When you get up in the morning try and move your body, go for a walk, do a 20 minute yoga session off youtube, take the dogs to the beach, jump on the treadmill or elliptical or hell, do some jumping jacks and star jumps in your living room. Just try and move your body in some way. We say it all the time 'we'll start on Monday' well friends, there's no better time than right now. So start now and keep going. Exercise will increase motivation and increase confidence.. and who doesn't want a little bit of that? 

Make a to-do list
I LOVE this one - sit down with a hot cuppa and make your to-do list for the week. My favourite tool to use is my On Purpose Project Planner by Frank Stationary - you can find this in our store here in Waihi Beach and this planner set's me up for a successful week. With the weekly view I can set my goals for the week, my focus for the week, people to talk to, my to do list, exercise and Monday through Sunday checklist. 

Clear your emails
This sounds silly but it makes a big difference for me in feeling organised instead of overwhelmed, when I have a million emails sitting in my inbox I struggle to concentrate. It will give you a sigh of relief, and set you up for a productive week! 

Manifest success 
Yes, I said it. Visualise the life you want, the more you visualise the life you want, the more likely you are to achieve it. This is powerful and every ounce of my body believes it to be true. I started from the ground up, and I worked my ass off for everything I have in my life, including this beautiful and incredible brand, and community we've formed through it. Visualise it. Write it down, breathe it, think about it all the time, and you will achieve it. I'm so passionate about this subject, every morning write down what you want to attract into your life, get your mind thinking about it. 

Maintain a positive attitude

Your attitude defines you're week, what you tell yourself is ultimately what will be. Set yourself up for a successful and positive week by having a positive mindset. Know you can achieve your goals, know you are worthy and know you are deserving of living your best life. So get out there and do it! I believe in you.
